HEATING SYSTEM

LESS PRESSURE NEEDED, SAFER OPERATION
Our advanced heating system can heat the CO2 up to 48,5°C in order to relax the colon muscles.
According to clinical trials, heating the colon relaxes the muscles and helps the distension. The consequence is that you need can set less pressure for the same distention. Setting less pressure is safer and more comfortable for the patient.
BUSCOPAN NO LONGER REQUIRED
With the heating system of the VMX-1020A, you will no longer need Buscopan injection.
Getting ride of Buscopan injection is a key safety feature for patients, as it has a long list of side effects that can be very severe. It also allows the patient to drive his car home immediately after the exam, which is not recommended after a Buscopan injection.

Over-pressures often generate spasms and the consequence is that segments of the colon are contracting. You have irregular distension and some collapsed segments that will be very difficult to analyze during the diagnostic. VMX-1020A has a proportional real-time multi-valves system to prevent over pressures and to prevent spasms.

Depending on the nature of the preparation, the colon can range from being completely clean to containing residual liquids or stools. You can define the level of cleanliness of the patient in your protocols or even in real time during the insufflation.
If you discover during the scout view that the colon has a poor preparation, you can immediately use this function and ensure a proper distention. Changing this parameter will change the algorithm of the VMX-1020A and will adapt the insufflation parameters to be always the more efficient possible and to realize quick insufflations whatever the type of preparation.
This is also very useful when a patient did not follow perfectly the instructions of the preparation.
FECAL TAGGING PREPARATION
Fecal tagging preparation is used when you need a CTC exam without a preparation. You just do a previous cleaning of the colon with contrast and water and then the CTC exam. This function will help you a lot as Fecal Tagging preparations let in the colon a high level of liquids and sometimes stools in the patient colon.

The VMX-1020A is the only device in the world that proposes an intussusception reduction mode. This is a specific interface and software dedicated to intussusception reduction.
CONSTANT PRESSURE
The VMX-1020A is also the only device that is reducing the intussusception at constant pressure. Using constant pressure has 2 big advantages:
– It applies a smooth and progressive reduction which is more efficient than intermittent pressure
– It reduces the risk of perforation or rupture at the ileocecal valve junction with the small intestine which is often exposed to necrosis. You need up to 50% less pressure for the reduction as constant pressure is constantly pushing the small intestine.

The VMX-1020A records all the exams and keeps a complete backup of all exams. In case of an adverse event, the users can easily show a complete report and deliver proof that the exam was done properly.
CERTIFIED ADMINISTRATION SET
VIMAP Technologies is proposing a specific single-use administration set ref AS-3W-H-R35B with a 16Fr silicone 3-way Foley catheter specifically engineered for intussusception reduction on children. The balloon will help you to keep constant pressure on the patient and will ensure a successful and fast reduction.

AUTOMATIC PRESSURE ADJUSTMENTS
The VMX-1020A is also proposing by default to raise automatically the pressure. The 2 first attempts will be done with reduced pressure, the third one will be done at the target pressure. At any moment the physician can raise or lower the pressure and the VMX-1020A will immediately apply the new set pressure.
THE USER KEEPS CONTROL OF THE MACHINE
The users always keeps full the control during the exam:
– The VMX-1020A is never intrusive. At any moment the user can change the pressure, abort a pause or manually control the machine.
– The user can define with a very friendly interface as much protocols as he needs. During the exam, the user can at any moment take the control of the machine and adapt in real time the protocol to the situation.
DEDICATED CART
Specific cart for the storage of the CO2 bottles and administration sets.
Small Footprint
Being only 55 cm wide, the small diameter of the machine on its cart makes it easy to store and move.
Large CO2 tanks
The cart is designed to fit 2 tanks of up to 4Kg of charge each, instead of the most commonly used 1KG bottles, allowing continuous operation for prolonged periods of time, with aproximatly 250 insufflations per bottle.
